her armour design was a lot of fun!

Freydis used to live in a village on some great plains, which became flooded, turned into a swamp and was overrun by spiders.

so rather than becoming the viking-esque warrior she would have become, she's now more of a ranger who hunts spiders in a futile attempt to make her homeland habitable again.
